So cute- so girly- so prissy! Nora likes to climb and crawl and generally move constantly but my camera was able to capture so much cuteness that you must see these one – year pictures! Fort Benning Homecoming
It was our great privilege to capture a family’s anticipation and delight as they were reunited with Dad after a nine month deployment. Dozens of wives, children, parents, and more than a few other photographers gathered at Fort Benning’s Freedom Hall dressed in their best fall outfits, each family claiming a small section of metal folding chairs as base. Diaper bags, strollers, jackets, snacks, bright handmade posters, and of course, kids, blanketed the seating areas for nearly two hours. My heart was especially blessed by the carefree groups of small children playing chase in the empty ceremony area, some of them playing with tiny American flags. When the Dads finally marched in, it was a joyous occasion. We hope you love these pictures.

Rosie is the most beautiful baby in the world according to the “young lady” (great-grandmama) who brought her to us and we couldn’t help but agree. She has milky pale skin, a glorious smile, and rocked her first year pictures session in a tutu and christening gown by Strasburg that is available for all of our baby girls to wear. Kayaking on The Hooch is becoming a really big deal around the Columbus and Phenix City area (insert “duh” and “understatement.”) Here are a few pictures that we were able to get. It’s not easy to shoot directly into the sun, which is where the water is, but Tim was able to do a great job with the Canon 5 D Mark 3 and a 70-200 lens. I sit in a lounge chair and surf the internet (get it? surf) while my men ride in tiny boats and bounce along the Chattahoochee River. I think they are bonding. That’s a good thing.
